Server log files

When you open this website, our web host's server automatically records technical data: the page requested, date and time, amount of data sent, the browser and operating system, the referring page and your IP address. We use this only to run the site securely and to find faults. We do not combine it with other data and do not use it to identify you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Cookies

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies and has no analytics. If you choose a language, your choice is stored in a small cookie called ow_lang so that the site opens in that language next time. It contains no personal data. People who log in to the editing area receive a session cookie that ends when the browser closes.

Anonymous statistics

We count page views to see which pages are used: the page, the day and hour, the language, whether it is a phone or a computer, and the website a visitor came from. We do not use cookies for this, we do not store IP addresses, and a visitor is only recognised by a short one-way code that is thrown away at the end of the day. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a useful website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Maps and external links

The website does not load maps or other content from third parties. The map buttons are plain links. Only when you tap one do you leave this site and the provider (Google or Apple) processes your data under its own privacy policy. The same applies to links to Facebook, Instagram and Tripadvisor.
